38: GRIEF AND EMOTIONAL HEALING

Grief and trauma are VERY real for mothers of children with autism.

In many ways, we have a lot in common with war veterans. Loss, grief, near-death experiences, sleepless nights, violence, biting, screaming, danger and fear is driving us to the point of exhaustion and meltdown.

I remember having a COMPLETE meltdown the first time I had to talk about my son’s recovery in public. Back then I knew that I had some grief and PTSD to deal with.

Did you know that there are two ways of dealing with grief and trauma?

One will make you GROW from the experience, the other will destroy your life.
